Ali Ziaee, MD

Dr. Ziaee is board certified in cardiology. He was born in Baltimore, grew up in St. Louis, and did all of his medical training at Saint Louis University, where he graduated magna cum laude from medical school and completed an internal medicine and pediatrics residency, followed by fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Ziaee’s special areas of expertise include: performing coronary angiography and angioplasty through the radial artery; transcatheter closure of atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO); complex coronary interventions; and physiologic assessment of coronary artery disease. He utilizes a flow wire technique to accurately assess the significance of coronary disease prior to stenting. Dr. Ziaee also sees patients for pacemakers and transesophageal echocardiograms.
