Justin Mendoza

Justin Mendoza, DO is a member of Summit Health’s Comprehensive Spine Center and Pain Management teams. As a physiatrist, Dr. Mendoza focuses on the nonoperative treatment of joint and spine pain, often working in conjunction with physical and occupational therapists to help those suffering with pain return to normal levels of function. He also performs injections guided by ultrasound and fluoroscopy (x-ray) to help reduce pain.

After graduating from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Mendoza went on to complete his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rusk Institute at NYU and a fellowship in interventional pain management and sports medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He has also published numerous articles and presented at several medical meetings and conferences across the country.

Dr. Mendoza believes patients should feel empowered to make health decisions that will ultimately improve their quality of life. “I want my patients to feel confident in the care they are getting, knowing it is tailored specifically for them and what best suits their health goals,” says Dr. Mendoza.

When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Mendoza enjoys practicing Kali, a Filipino martial art, and spending time with his family.
