Alivio Wellness is a wellness studio located in Hoboken, NJ dedicated to detoxification and self-care. We offer Colon Hydrotherapy, Lymphatic Drainage, and Integrative Health Coaching. Alivio translates to “relief” in Spanish and it’s our mission to educate our clients about the importance of gut health and detoxification to help them feel their best.

After experiencing digestion issues which lead to uncomfortable and severe eczema flare-ups, I decided to get to the root of my issues and received my first colonic at 19 years old. That’s when I experienced, first-hand, how gut health relates to your overall health & wellness. The journey to becoming a Colon Hydrotherapist continues to lead me towards constantly working on becoming the best version of myself. It truly starts from the inside out and that’s what inspired me to start Alivio Wellness! I want to share that experience with my clients. After getting certified at the Wood Hygienic Institute, I was fortunate to work as a Colon Hydrotherapist & Managing Partner at Vitality NYC and had the chance to train and work with Michael Perrine (@everydaydetox) who is a legend in the colonics world. As a NJ native, I’m so excited for the opportunity to make these services more readily available in northern NJ and look forward to providing some Alivio to those who need it!

My name is Marie and I am a spirit guided, well, guide! I am here to assist you to live the best life that you can in the best ways that I am able. Over the past decade, I have acquired wisdom and skill in various tools and traditions through study, experience and play. Formally, I have been trained as Yoga Instructor and Thai Body Worker, Holistic Health Coach, Gravity Colon Hydrotherapist, Vedic Astrologer, Birth Doula, Interfaith Minister, Usui Reiki Master Teacher and Shamanic Practitioner. The many traditions that I source from include Spiritual, Vedic Astrological & Tantra, as well as Ancient, Sacred Healing techniques which include Yoga, Movement, Pranayama, Meditation, Ayurveda and more to assist you in achieving your goals. We begin with clearing, organizing and uplifting. We make space for something new, in a healthy and attainable manner; slow and steady.

I begin each client session with rediscovering and re-anchoring the body through my expertise as a Master Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Artist, a Body Worker certified in The Reynolds Technique, and a Master Embodied Flow Artist.
Through drawing on the knowledge and wisdom gained from nutritional and energetic practices implemented over a 15 year process of becoming non-symptomatic of Endometriosis, more than 1,000 hours over several years of apprenticeship and certification in The Reynolds Technique, training in the art of Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage, creating a successful Lymphatic Drainage practice in partnership with HigherDOSE in NYC, years as a teaching artist, and a lifetime of work as a writer and performance artist, I am uniquely qualified to lead people through a process of unwinding and detoxing chronic holding patterns, both physical and energetic. This work is simple, yet powerful. While it is not therapy, it is therapeutic, and may support an ongoing practice of wholeness, wellness, and creative expression.
