Genevieve C Matthews, MD

Dr. Genevieve Matthews is a primary care physician who is accepting new patients at Progress West Hospital. As a primary care physician, she provides comprehensive preventative care, including annual wellness exams and immunizations, as well as care for chronic conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma. 'Being an internist allows me to educate each patient and involve them in the decision-making process that affects their own health,' Dr. Matthews explains. 'I enjoy building relationships with each of my patients and treating them on a personal basis.' Outside of work, Dr. Matthews enjoys backpacking, spinning, swimming and spending time with friends and family. She is married and has a young daughter. Dr. Matthews' practice is part of BJC Medical Group, a well-established, multi-specialty physician group.
