Herbert M Biel MD

Dr. Herbert Biel, MD FACS is a board-certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. Dr. Biel has been practicing for 26 years and will be accepting new patients. Dr. Biel received his medical degree from the Wright State University School of Medicine and has been practicing medicine since 1993. He then completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Cincinnati in General Surgery, followed by his fellowship at the Wiltse Spine Institute and the University of California Irvine. Dr. Biel treats spine deformity, spinal cord injuries and performs cervical and lumbar minimally invasive surgeries. Striving to give compassionate, patient focused non-operative and operative care, cost effectively delivered with experienced state of the art techniques. Dr. Biel went into this field because Orthopedic Spine Surgery is a challenging field, and he has the ability to positively change lives in measurable ways. As a Midwesterner, born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, Dr. Biel is excited to join BJC Medical Group of Illinois in Belleville.
