Puja Gurung, MD

Puja Gurung, MD, is board-certified in family medicine, hospital medicine, and sleep medicine and sees adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Gurung provides consultations for sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy, excessive daytime sleepiness, insomnia, parasomnias, REM behavior disorder, circadian rhythm disorder and shift work disorder.

Dr. Gurung became interested in sleep medicine after observing how many of her patients suffered from sleep disorders. She witnessed the significant toll these disorders took on their quality of life. Dr. Gurung understands the importance of restful sleep for health and vitality. She finds it rewarding to see her patients' lives transform through the treatments she provides and recommends.

She earned her medical degree and completed her internship at Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Pokhara, Nepal. She then completed her residency at the University of Illinois in Rockford and a fellowship at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
