Dr. Wael Girgis brings more than 25 years of experience in endocrinology. "I enjoy working with patients to develop a customized care plan that suits the patient's condition and lifestyle, using the latest treatment options and evidence-based care," Dr. Girgis says. As an endocrinology provider, Dr. Girgis evaluates and treats many conditions including, but not limited to, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, various thyroid diseases, thyroid nodules, pituitary diseases, parathyroid diseases, adrenal diseases, hypogonadism, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. Dr. Girgis and his wife have two grown daughters. Outside of work, they enjoy music, theater, soccer, football and outdoor activities, like fishing and walking. Dr. Girgis' practice is part of BJC Medical Group of Illinois, a well-established, multi-specialty physician group.
