Joan Azoury, MD

Joan Azoury, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in obstetrics & gynecology. He received his medical degree from the Lebanese American University School of Medicine in Beirut. He then went on to complete his internship and residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA. Dr. Azoury has been recognized on multiple occasions for his outstanding academic achievements. In medical school he graduated Valedictorian of his class and was granted the academic excellence award. During his residency training in Virginia, he received the CREOG award for the best academic performance in four consecutive years.

Patients can visit Dr. Azoury for all general gynecological needs. These include, but are not limited to, well-woman exams, PAP tests, HPV vaccinations, and birth control counseling. He also treats a wide array of gynecological conditions such as heavy or irregular periods, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and more. For expectant mothers, Dr. Azoury provides full obstetric care throughout the entire pregnancy. In addition to lower-risk vaginal deliveries, Dr. Azoury specializes in C-sections, multiple births, and other high-risk pregnancies.
