Shivani Sockanathan, MD

Shivani Sockanathan, MD, is a Family Medicine Physician who is accepting new patients. Dr. Sockanathan earned her medical degree from Chicago Medical School. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in Family Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, NY. Patients can visit Dr. Sockanathan for all primary care needs. She provides general medicine services such as annual wellness exams, vaccinations, school and sports physicals and more. Dr. Sockanathan is especially passionate about women’s health, offering well-woman exams, PAP smears and placement of implantable birth control devices, such as IUDs and Nexplanon inserts. From newborns to adults, Dr. Sockanathan helps her patients manage a wide variety of conditions, including mental health issues, musculoskeletal concerns and acute illnesses like cough, cold, and flu. She also treats chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, heart disease and many other diagnoses.
