He completed an internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at the University of Utah Health and a family medicine residency at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Shaskey spent two years at UCLA, completing a prestigious fellowship in sports medicine. 

This broad range of training and specialized experience gave Dr. Shaskey the unique skills needed to start his own rheumatology practice. Today, he has more than 20 years of experience treating patients.
