I spend time talking with my patients and their families beyond their illness or discomfort. It is often the social determinants of health such as food, housing, transportation, that contribute to their well-being.
Cardiology is a dynamic field. I am excited about the future of cardiovascular medicine, as there have been many new innovations in cardiac therapeutics and interventions in recent years. Digital medicine and therapeutics are fast evolving. It is fulfilling to embrace challenges and be thoughtfully courageous when dealing with complicated cardiac conditions.
