Decades of research has shown that MAT is an effective way to help adults make the lifestyle and behavioral changes necessary to sustain long-term recovery. At Bradley County CTC, each adult who takes part in MAT receives a personalized treatment plan, which includes a therapeutic component along with prescription medication. This may consist of individual or group counseling along with a prescription for either methadone or Suboxone, both of which have been documented to curb cravings and treat withdrawal.
