Becoming a Home Health Aide registered by the New Jersey Board of Nursing requires no previous experience but you must obtain professional training by a registered nurse. To become a Certified Home Health Aide or CHHA, documentation must be provided to show a minimum of 60 hours of classroom instruction and 16 hours of hands-on clinical instruction.
