Courtney E. Dean, NP

Courtney is originally from Cameroon, Africa, but calls Montana home. She earned a bachelor's degree in Nursing, followed by a Doctorate of Nursing Practice - Family/Individual advanced practice degree from Montana State University - Bozeman.Following her education, Courtney moved to Hazen, North Dakota, where she has practiced as an APRN in family medicine, hospital and emergency medicine. Courtney has always loved how nursing and medicine can be used anywhere in the world as a blessing to others. She wanted to have a career where she could have a deep and personal impact on individuals, as well as their families and communities.I believe the most important aspects of healthcare are being patient centered, providing holistic care (involving the mind, body, spirit and soul) and building deep trusting relationships with your patients and their families. My goal is to know and understand my patient holistically and help guide them in a patient-centered, evidence based manner so that they can achieve their health and life goals, and be well-informed advocates for their own health and the health of their loved ones.Courtney enjoys taking care of patients from birth to the end of life, caring for whole families and multiple generations and building deep personal patient-provider relationships. She is passionate about rural health, holistic family care and preventive medicine.To recharge, Courtney enjoys hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, traveling, medical mission work, spending time with her husband (and their two dogs) and their close family and friends.
