Florida Seizure Doc: Omar Moore, M.D.

Board-certified neurologist Omar Moore, MD, takes a patient-centric approach to care at Florida Seizure Doc. As an epileptologist, Dr. Moore is able to give patients better access to epilepsy diagnosis and treatment. He has extensive training in the management of patients with neurologic disorders, with a specialty in seizure-related cases.
Dr. Moore grew up in the Florida Panhandle, attended medical school at the University of Florida in Gainesville, then completed his neurology training at University of Florida Jacksonville Campus. Prior to earning his medical degree, he spent eight years in the Army National Guard, including a year overseas in convoy security operations in Afghanistan. He met his wife in Jacksonville and enjoys the area’s culture of inclusivity and laid-back attitude.
Dr. Moore’s philosophy of care is to treat people the way he would want to be treated. He knows it’s scary to have a diagnosis you don’t fully understand. Uncertainty breeds fear, especially when your life may be at risk. He takes the extra effort to educate patients about their diagnosis before developing a treatment plan.
In addition to telemedicine appointments, Dr. Moore can refer patients for testing in their local area, to include laboratory testing, MRI of the brain, and at-home EEGs. Medications can be sent to local pharmacies electronically.
