I came to medicine through teaching. As a high school biology teacher, I found that I was as excited as my students to learn about cells, DNA, and the various organ systems which keep our bodies functioning. Eventually, I decided to take my enthusiasm for the human body a step further, and I enrolled in medical school. It didn't take me long to realize that I was again called to teaching and caring for children through the field of pediatrics.

I am a general pediatrician at Columbia West Side Pediatrics on West 86th Street, where I care for children from birth through adolescence. I specialize in routine health maintenance, puberty, prevention of injury, acute and chronic illnesses, and vaccinations.I feel privileged to partner with parents in teaching their children about how their bodies function, grow, and mature—and how to keep them healthy. It is an honor to work with my patients and their families from the early days of bringing home a newborn, through the challenges of toddlerhood and changes of puberty, and into the transition to young adulthood.
