Anita Azam, MD

Originally from Florida, Dr. Azam received her undergraduate education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She earned her medical degree from Bangladesh Medical College in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed a Pediatric Residency at West Virginia University-Charleston Division and a Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.Prior to joining SCL Health, Dr. Azam worked as a pediatric endocrinologist in New Zealand and as an Assistant Professor at St. Christopher?s Hospital for Children, Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She chose to move to Montana to be closer to her family. Dr. Azam aims to provide each patient with compassionate, streamlined healthcare. She is excited to provide comprehensive endocrine and diabetes care to children, young adults and their families across our region. Her areas of expertise include Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, thyroid disease, growth and development, bone metabolism and adrenal and pituitary diseases.When not at work, Dr. Azam is interesting in photography and yoga.
