"Mukisa was originally trained by Tiny Love Doulas Organization but chose to advance her learning by re-training with Birthing With Advocacy as a Full Spectrum Doula. Her love of birth started at the young age of 11 when she watched a 4-hour live birth and was amazed by it. Upon learning about birth disparities, this fueled a fire in Mukisa of wanting to help others during this vulnerable yet beautiful time of their lives. Her love of taking care of others expanded as she worked as a Daycare Teacher, Nanny and even a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years and eventually led her to Doula work. Mukisa continues to work to support all kinds of birth related work by providing Photography, Placenta Encapsulation, HypnoBirthing classes and other knowledge like the Spinning Babies: Easier birth with fetal positioning class. Mukisa‘s desire to be a full spectrum Doula stems from wanting to support and provide advocacy and learning for those birthing with disabilities, LGBTQ+, POC, and many different people and situations. In her free time, Mukisa enjoys playing the ukulele, roller-skating and cooking a non-spicy Coconut Chicken Curry which also happens to be one of her most raved postpartum meals. Languages: English and Luganda. Birth Doula Rate: $800 Additional language: Luganda (Uganda)"
