Phil Smith

Phil has more than 15 years of banking industry experience with TowneBank. As a commercial banker, he advises business owners and provides all types of commercial financing, including working capital lines, permanent capital loans, equipment financing, owner-occupied commercial real estate and commercial real estate held for investment. He is a graduate of Christopher Newport University where he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management, Vann H. Lefcoe Leadership Development, and the TowneBank Management Associate Program.

He currently serves as treasurer on the board of Roc Solid Foundation. Born and raised in Portsmouth, Phil is one of the few commercial lenders in the area able to make that claim. Phil is married with four children and currently resides in North Suffolk.
