Russell Wilson, MD

Russell Wilson, MD earned his medical degree from University of Southwestern in Dallas, TX and completed his residency at Georgia Baptist Hospital. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Texas A&M and is board certified in General Surgery. Dr. Wilson has been practicing medicine for 26 years. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Wilson was private practice in the area and one of the first surgeons in Fayetteville, Georgia. Dr. Wilson specializes in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical treatment of hernias, disease of gallbladder, appendectomy, gastrointestinal and colon, reflux disease, thyroid and parathyroid disease, and soft tissue masses. In his spare time, Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time restoring old cars, hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family. He is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
