Maritza Figueroa, PhD

Dr. Figueroa earned her Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed a two-year clinical neuropsychology fellowship at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, Detroit Medical Center where she became interested in symptom validity testing and furthered her experience in spinal cord injuries. She has published in the areas of neuropsychological testing in the Hispanic population and medical-comorbidities affecting functional outcomes in individuals with traumatic brain injury. Dr. Figueroa has worked in hospital settings, post-acute rehabilitation and community re-integrations programs providing psychotherapy services, neuropsychological evaluations and behavioral interventions. Most recently, Dr. Figueroa earned a post-doctoral master™s degree in psychopharmacology.
