Veronica Echevarria

Veronica Echevarria, APN is a member of the Summit Health Hospitalist Medicine team. Ms. Echevarria worked as a cardiac nurse for 10 years and has experience in inpatient and house coverage care. As a teen, she worked as a patient escort where she witnessed the strongest of nurse-patient bonds and gained a full understanding of diagnosis and individualized care plans.

Ms. Echeverria treats a wide variety of patients and illnesses, and along with a team of other nurses and providers, she works to treat the whole patient, coordinating with specialists as needed. She says, “Medicine is like a puzzle. I enjoy piecing together a patients’ story through open communication, comprehensive exams, and test results in order to develop a specialized plan of care that will improve their well-being.”

Ms. Echevarria is passionate about preventive care and educating patients so they can live full, active lives. She is a strong believer and promoter of vaccines and educates her patients, so they feel fully informed and confident in their decisions. “Building trust with a patient is the most important thing a provider can do. I want my patients to know I have their best interests at heart.”

When not in the office, Ms. Echevarria enjoys spending time with her family and two rescue dogs.
