Katherine Conroy Rubeo, PA-C

Katie Conroy Rubeo is a Lead Physician Assistant who sees adult patients and speaks English. She specializes in HIV primary care, LGBTQ+ health, gender-affirming care, and substance use treatment. Her special clinical interests include pregnancy in HIV, well women’s health, clinical research, gender-affirming care, integrating substance use treatment into primary care, sexual health, and STI screening/prevention. Katie is trained to perform high resolution anoscopy (HRA) for anal dysplasia screening, and is X-waivered to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder.

She loves to listen and take the time to learn from her patients about their lives. She discusses concerns or questions that they have about their care, what their goals are for their health, and supports them in their decisions, working as a team to reach their goals.

She received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Katie is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and the American Academy HIV Medicine as a HIV specialist. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants (PSPA), and the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM).
