Internal medicine physician Jatin Bhatt, MD, MBA, is the medical director of Occupational Health Services Medical Group, an urgent care and occupational medicine center, in Lynwood, California. Since 1996, Dr. Bhatt has been a leading expert in the local community in work-related injury management and prevention programs. In 1991, Dr. Bhatt joined the medical staff of St. Francis Medical Center (SFMC) and served in the emergency/trauma center in Lynwood, California, as a full-time emergency medical doctor. In addition to providing emergency care services at SFMC, he served as Medical Director for the Employee Health Department for more than 20 years. Dr. Bhatt was involved in creating a comprehensive employee injury prevention and management program not only for SFMC but for other local businesses too. He has received several awards from the local and California state government for his excellent services to the community and local businesses.
Dr. Bhatt received his Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from South Gujarat University in India. In 1985, He began a Surgical Residency at Maimonides Medical Center, New York, and transitioned into an Internal Medicine Residency at Coney Island Hospital in New York, which he completed in 1990. He received his Internal Medicine Board Certification in 1992. He then earned his Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California. He is certified as a medical review officer by the American Association of Medical Review Officers. He received advanced trauma life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support certifications.
Dr. Bhatt has been a member of the California Medical Association, Los Angeles County Medical Association, and American College of Physician Executives. He is currently the chairman of the Credentialing Committee at SFMC and the president of St. Francis Multispecialty Group, Inc.
Dr. Bhatt’s professional interests include injuries and illness prevention, as well as health promotion to optimize productivity and wellness at work and life.
Dr. Bhatt is married and has three children.
