Meet Dr. Vasilev of Arnica Dental
Anna Vasilev, DMD, is a highly-trained cosmetic dentist at Arnica Dental in Frisco, Texas. Her passion for dentistry combines skill and proficiency with a conservative restorative approach. She attributes her drive for excellence to her father, who is also a dentist and an oral surgeon.
Dr. Vasilev started her dental career in Russia, where she received intensive training in oral and maxillofacial surgery and her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Voronezh State Medical University. While there, she participated in research on bone preservation using synthetic bone grafting materials. After permanently moving to the United States and being highly motivated to obtain the best possible education, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2014 with another Doctor of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Vasilev was extensively trained in clinical skills and through elective courses in community outreach, diversity training, practice management, and dental liability. Curious about the business aspect of dental office logistics, she also took an advanced start-up course with Breakaway Seminars. Since graduating, Dr. Vasilev regularly participates in continuing education courses in all areas of dentistry to maintain progressive skills in a fast-evolving profession.
In her everyday practice, Dr. Vasilev incorporates the latest cutting-edge equipment and techniques, which include CBCT, lasers, plasma-rich fibrin methods, dental implants, and sleep apnea devices. Dr. Vasilev practices all aspects of general dentistry and receives much gratification from delivering high-quality, comprehensive family dentistry to patients of all ages in a comfortable and friendly environment.
Having the soul of an artist and an eye for details, she took dental esthetic courses in Europe (Style Italiano Esthetic Dentistry Techniques in Italy, and dental education clinic in Ukraine), as well as digital dental photography and Botox and facial fillers courses in New York City. Dr. Vasilev has taken courses with Hiossen for intermediate and advanced dental implant placement and management, the DIO digital academy for digital scanning, and pain management courses at the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a nitrous oxide certificate to provide dental care for patients with dental phobias and anxiety.
Dr. Vasilev is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. She annually attends the Greater New York Dental Meeting (NYC), the Southwest Dental Conference, and DentalXP conference courses.
