Savastano, M.D., Ph.D., in a neurosurgeon at Mayo Clinic’s Rochester, Minnesota campus, he specializes in the microsurgical and endovascular treatment of brain aneurysm, moyamoya disease, brain and spinal AVMs, carotid artery disease and stroke. His interest areas include microsurgical and endovascular treatment of cerebral and spinal vascular lesions, moyamoya disease and occlusive cerebrovascular disease and many more. Dr. Lanzino has completed advanced training in the neurosurgical field including subspecialized training in neuroendovascular surgery and a cerebrovascular and skull-based surgery fellowship. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, and he is the author of two textbooks.
