I take a comprehensive, holistic approach to care that puts the patient at the center. I think it is essential to look at the entire person and how they interact with the world around them when deciding how to approach their care. This includes their lifestyle, support system, how they view quality of life, and their mental/emotional health. I prefer to get to the root cause of a problem so we can work together to create a care plan that will result in long-term sustainable change. I take a health at every size approach as I feel strongly that behaviors, not weight, are truly what influence health.
