The Center for Orthopedic Excellence is the leading orthopedic care and surgery center in the Methuen, Massachusetts, area and the Merrimack Valley. 
As part of Holy Family Hospital and Steward Family Hospitals, the Center for Orthopedic Excellence became the first Massachusetts team to earn advanced certification for hip and knee replacement surgery from the Joint Commission, the leading health care and quality improvement accreditation body in the United States. 
Holy Family Hospital is also recognized by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts as one of the best orthopedic surgery centers in the nation. Holy Family Hospital was the first in the area to offer Mako™ robotic-arm assisted surgery for partial knee and total hip replacements in osteoarthritis patients.
