Timothy E. Ryntz, MD

Dr. Ryntz, a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2005. He has received awards and honors from his peers for excellence in teaching and research. Dr. Ryntz held academic appointment at Harvard University where he worked on techniques to improve the diagnosis and treatment of common gynecologic problems in the office. Dr. Ryntz is continuing this work at Columbia University and is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His clinical interests include advanced hysteroscopy, family planning, transgender health care, and the management of abnormal uterine bleeding. In addition to expertise in the operating room, Dr. Ryntz has over a decade of experience in working with specialized populations including transgender men and women and women who suffer from sexual dysfunction. He uses an interdisciplinary approach with mental health providers and physical therapists to ensure comprehensive care for his patients.
