Julia B Finkelstein, MD

Julia Beth Finkelstein, M.D., M.P.H, is an Assistant Professor of Urology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). She specializes in pediatric urology, seeing patients from before birth to 18 years old. Dr. Finkelstein seeks to provide high quality care for the breadth of pediatric urology patients at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, Lawrence Hospital as well as ColumbiaDoctors in Westchester County.Dr. Finkelstein is a native of New York. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University and earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her Urology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center and fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Finkelstein simultaneously completed a fellowship in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement through Harvard Medical School and obtained a Masters in Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.Dr. Finkelstein’s research interests focus on value-based medicine and innovation, including use of telecommunications technology to improve patient care. She serves as the Telehealth Champion for the Department of Urology. Dr. Finkelstein is part of the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital Quality and Patient Safety Council and is the physician lead for the initiative to reduce catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI).Dr. Finkelstein is accepting new patients at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital on 3959 Broadway (between 165th Street and Broadway) and at ColumbiaDoctors in Westchester County (15 North Broadway in White Plains and 155 White Plains Road in Tarrytown).
