Roy Naturman, MD

Roy Naturman, MD, is Medical Director of Summit Medical Group Ambulatory Surgery. In addition, Dr. Naturman is Attending Anesthesiologist at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. He is board certified in anesthesiology and internal medicine.<br />

Dr. Naturman has been President of Summit Anesthesia Associates, Medical Director of the Overlook Medical Center Reeves Same Day Surgery Center, Chair in the Overlook Medical Center Department of Anesthesia, and President of the Overlook Medical Center Medical Staff. He has taught in the Departments of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.<br />

Dr. Naturman is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Anesthesiology, and National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists, Medical Society of New Jersey, Union County Medical Society, Massachusetts Medical Society, Overlook Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees, Overlook Medical Center Advisory Board of Trustees, Atlantic Health Medical Leadership Committee, Atlantic Health Financial Oversight Committee, Atlantic Health Strategic Planning Committee, and Overlook Medical Center Credentials Committee.<br />

During his postdoctoral anesthesia training, Dr. Naturman discovered his passion for working with perioperative patients. He says, "I became inspired to combine my knowledge of internal medicine with my skills as an anesthesiologist to care for my patients when they feel the most vulnerable. I believe it's important to explain the process they will undergo and help reassure them." Dr. Naturman adds, "What matters most to me is giving each of my patients the best care possible."<br />

When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Naturman enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 sons, listening to music, traveling, reading, and playing golf and tennis.<br />
