Julie Schehr

Julie A. Schehr, MSW, LCSW, specializes in adjustment to diagnoses of illness such as cancer as well as anxiety, grief and bereavement, and stress management. Ms. Schehr is a consultant for primary care patients who need guidance on behavioral health options to manage emotional issues. As part of the treatment team in primary care, she offers brief consultations to assess patients' needs and make treatment recommendations.<br />

Before joining Summit Health, Ms. Schehr worked with patients diagnosed with cancer at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in New Brunswick. A medical social worker for more than 20 years, she has worked in many health care settings, including those at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Integrated Health Services of New Jersey, and Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, all located in New Jersey.<br />

When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Schehr enjoys spending time with her family as well as visiting the Jersey shore, dining out, and walking on the boardwalk.
