Samantha Gerish

Samantha Gerish, PA-C (formerly Bernstein) is a member of Summit Health's Family Medicine team. Ms. Gerish cares for adult and geriatric patients and offers a wide spectrum of primary care services ranging in complexity. These include but are not limited to preventative wellness visits, sick visits, maintenance of chronic issues, as well as preoperative visits. She takes an individualized approach to every patient with quality of care always at the forefront. “Listening and educating my patients is very important to me,” she states. “I always try to imagine how a patient is feeling and what they are going through, both physically and emotionally,” she adds. Ms. Gerish graduated from the Monmouth University Physician Assistant Program where she received the award of Academic Excellence for graduating first in her class of physician assistants. In addition, she was honored to be inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants, an honor awarded to those who excel in academics as well as leadership and service. Prior to receiving her M.S. in Physician Assistant studies, she graduated from Syracuse University magna cum laude. She is proud to serve her hometown area, practicing out of Summit Health’s 75 E. Northfield Road, Livingston office.<br />

When not seeing patients, Ms. Gerish enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as reading, cooking or knitting. She also loves animals.
