Sharon Axelrod

Sharon L. Axelrod, AuD, CCC-A has been a member of the Summit Health Audiology team for 7 years.  Dr. Axelrod specializes in auditory brainstem response audiometry, electrocochleography, videonystagmography, hearing aids, audiologic evaluations, and otoacoustic emissions.

Dr. Axelrod has been an audiologist with Ear, Nose, Throat and Facial Plastic Surgeons, PA, in Riverdale, New Jersey, for more than 10 years. She also has been an audiologist for St. Vincent's Medical Center of Richmond in Staten Island, New York, New York City Department of Health, Bureau of Handicapped Children in Brooklyn, White Plains Hearing Aid Center, in White Plains, New York, Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. She has been an adjunct instructor at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York, and Director of Audiology for Rehab Plus Consulting Services, where she worked with Westchester-area nursing homes as a geriatric audiology specialist.

She also currently teaches audiology as an adjunct instructor at Rockland Community College.

Dr. Axelrod credits her husband, a college professor of speech and language pathology, for introducing her to the field of audiology.
