Jodie Kunkel

Jodie Kunkel, PA-C is a member of Summit Health's Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team. Ms. Kunkel practices general orthopedics with a special focus on hands, wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries in patients of all ages. She is trained and experienced in helping patients regain quality of life after experiencing illness or injury.<br />

Creating good rapport and open dialogue with her patients is extremely important to her. She says, “As a provider, healing isn’t just the identification and treatment of an injury or ailment, it’s ensuring the patient is comfortable with their options and that they are an active part of the treatment plan.”<br />

Ms. Kunkel was the 2019 Edward J. III Excellence in Medicine Scholarship Award recipient.<br />

When not caring for patients, she enjoys crafting; knitting, crocheting, drawing, and painting. In her free time, she can be found working on home improvement projects. Her and her fiance are passionate about animal rescue and have five cats of their own, along with a dog who keeps them on their toes.
