Shayamala Baskaran-CLOSED

Before joining Summit Health, Shayamala Baskaran, MSPAS, PAC, practiced with LMG Family Practice in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Ms. Baskaran is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants, Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants, and the Philadelphia University Physician Assistant Alumni Advisory Board.<br />

Ms. Baskaran believes in preventive medicine and continuity of care for helping ensure her patients have healthy, long lives. She says, "I decided at a young age that I wanted to be involved in the field of medicine. Before attending school for my physician assistant studies, I volunteered in nursing homes and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). During that time, I met and worked with physician assistants and physicians who impressed me with their outstanding, compassionate care. The experience strengthened my resolve to become part of a medical team."<br />

When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Baskaran enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, and wine tasting.
