Anum Waqar

Anum Waqar, DO is a member of Summit Health's Internal Medicine team. Prior to joining Summit Health, Dr. Waqar was a resident of internal medicine at UHS Wilson in Johnson City, NY as well as a clinical assistant instructor of Upstate Medical University. During her first year of training, Dr. Waqar received the Mark J. Marmora, D.O. Memorial Award for excellence in osteopathic medicine and osteopathic manipulative therapy. During her final year of training Dr. Waqar received the Internal Medicine Clinical Resident Award in recognition of the resident who best exemplifies excellence in Primary Care.<br />

Dr. Waqar enjoys developing lifelong relationships with patients developing meaningful relationships with them. She strives to partner with her patients in making informed decisions on their health. She is passionate on preventative care and how lifestyle plays an important role on well-being.<br />

Dr. Waqar is currently a member of American College of Osteopathic Internists. Outside of work, Dr. Waqar enjoys traveling, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
