Maria Gatoulis

Maria Gatoulis, MD, FAAP is a member of Summit Health's Pediatrics/Adolescent Medicine team. Dr. Gatoulis has always wanted to be a pediatrician and enjoys all aspects of her specialty. She is experienced in treating children—newborn through age 21—and has a special interest in caring for young girls and adolescent females. Additionally, she enjoys helping women transition from the prenatal period into parenthood. As a mother, Dr. Gatoulis understands the trust that’s placed in pediatricians and she is honored to be part of such a special relationship. Her care philosophy is to partner with parents to provide her patients with excellent medical care in a compassionate and caring setting. “I treat the families that come to me the same way I would want my own children to be treated,” she states.<br />

Before joining Summit Health, Dr. Gatoulis was in private practice in Sussex County, New Jersey for eight years. She has been consistently named a New Jersey Favorite Kids' Doc annually since 2012. When not seeing patients, Dr. Gatoulis is dedicated to giving back to the community. She is a board member of The Salvation Army Morristown chapter; is an active parent volunteer for her children’s grammar school and has remained involved with the Georgetown Medical community.<br />

She enjoys being outdoors with her two daughters, gardening with her husband, and going on family travel adventures.
