Eric Mirsky

Eric C. Mirsky, MD, is the previous Chairman of the Orthopedic Surgery Department at the Summit Health and a former member of the Board of Directors. A native of New Jersey, Dr. Mirsky graduated from Millburn High School and Princeton University, where he was a varsity tennis player. He attended medical school at the New York University School of Medicine, and completed his surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in knee reconstruction and sports medicine at the prestigious Insall Scott Kelly Institute in New York.<br />

Since 1998, Dr. Mirsky has served his patients at Summit Health. He has expertise in adult reconstructive surgery of the knee, sports medicine and adult trauma and fractures care. He performs several hundred knee replacement surgeries annually. An active and busy sports medicine specialist, Dr. Mirsky is currently a team physician for the New Jersey Devils hockey team. He has provided orthopedic care for the Atlantic Coast Conference basketball tournament and the Professional Golfers Association championship. He also previously served as Assistant Team Physician for the New York Knicks and New York Liberty basketball teams, the Professional Arena Football League, and several local high school football teams. A skilled tennis player, Dr. Mirsky has first-hand appreciation for the subtleties and complications associated with athlete’s injuries.<br />

Dr. Mirsky is a recipient of the MDx Medical, Inc. Patients’ Choice Award for his outstanding bedside manner, time spent during his patients’ visits, courtesy of his office staff, appropriate follow-up care, and overall excellence. He has been featured in New Jersey Monthly Top Doctors listings. When he is not caring for his patients, Dr. Mirsky enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and sons, Jack and Michael, as well as playing tennis and golf.
