Ellen Lunenfeld

Ellen Lunenfeld, MD, FASN, FACP, is an internist specializing in clinical hypertension, kidney disease, and internal medicine, with a focus on preventive care. In addition to her position at Summit Health, Dr. Lunenfeld teaches and supervises residents in nephrology and hypertension at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey.<br />

Dr. Lunenfeld is certified as a Hypertension Specialist, having successfully passed the American Hypertension Specialist Certification Program which identifies her as having expert skills and mastery of knowledge in the management of clinical hypertension and related disorders. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, Medical Society of New Jersey, Union County Medical Society, and American Society of Nephrology. She has been featured in New Jersey Monthly “Top Doctors” listings.<br />

Dr. Lunenfeld is a recipient of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Academic Excellence Award and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Chief Residents Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding contribution to medical housestaff education.<br />

Dr. Lunenfeld finds interacting with her patients personally gratifying. She believes in treating patients as a whole, with emphasis on preventive measures that promote health.<br />

When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Lunenfeld enjoys cooking, running, traveling, and spending time with her family.
