David Chen

David Chen, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Family Medicine team. Dr. Chen provides comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, with a special interest in preventive care. His services include women’s health care, pediatrics, preventive health maintenance, primary care for patients with developmental and physical disabilities, minor surgical procedures, and sports medicine. Dr. Chen provides compassionate, empathetic, and informative care during each visit. His patients enjoy his ability to listen, explain details of their specific condition(s), and compose comprehensive treatment plans to ensure the best possible health outcome.<br />

Prior to joining Summit Health, Dr. Chen was Co-founder and Medical Director of Family Medical Care of Clifton. He is actively involved with community education in conjunction with the Clifton Health Department and teaches residents and medical students at Mountainside Hospital’s Family Medicine residency program. Dr. Chen was featured in New Jersey Monthly “Top Doctors” listing for 2018. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending his free time with his wife, two sons and dog.
