Kenneth R. Adler, MD specializes in hematology/oncology,&nbsp;with a special interest in benign and malignant hematology and in geriatric oncology.&nbsp; In addition to his role at Summit Health, he is&nbsp;an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the New Jersey Medical School and Hospice Medical Director at the VNA of Somerset Hills.&nbsp; He also currently serves as Chairman at the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research and as the&nbsp;co-chair of the American Society of Hematology Practice Partnership. &nbsp;He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a&nbsp;member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.&nbsp;Dr. Adler has been awarded with several outstanding honors throughout his career that include American Cancer Society Physician of the Year by the State of New Jersey. He has received Top Doctors Award in New Jersey from 1996 until 2016. He received the St. George National Volunteer Award from the American Cancer Society and the Susan Komen Pink Tie Gala Award – North Jersey Division. In 2004, he received the Dean and Betty Gallo Humanitarian of the Year Award. In 2006, Dr. Adler received the American Society of Hematology National Public Service Award. In 2014, he received the prestigious Augustus Stone Award for his volunteer service to Morristown Medical Center. In 2015, he received the Somerset Hills Visiting Nurse Community Award.<br />

In September 2014, Dr. Adler was co-author of a book The Big Casino: America’s Best Cancer Doctors Share Their Most Powerful Stories.<br />

Dr. Adler has the support of his wife, Susan, his three daughters Stephanie, Molly and Rachel, their husbands and grandchildren Ruby and Oliver who live in Brooklyn.<br />

When he is not working, he enjoys time off with his family, skiing, playing golf, fishing and enjoying his time visiting Cape Cod.
