Growing up I felt deeply that nursing was my calling and later chose this career because of my drive to care for others. I understood what it was like to be on the patient side, as I cared for my sick father until he took his last breath. The difficult process I endured help develop my empathy and compassion for the sick. During nursing and now a practitioner, caring for others continues to be my focus patients and their families.
