Dr. Syed Alam is a board-certified and fellowship trained rheumatologist. He specializes in musculoskeletal diseases with expertise in diagnosing and treating systemic autoimmune conditions.Dr. Alam earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at John H. Stoger, Jr. Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and his rheumatology fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.Dr. Alam™s areas of interest include rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), osteoporosis, vasculitis, gout and pseudogout, polymyalgia rheumatica, temporal arteritis, inflammatory bowel disease with associated arthritis, systemic sclerosis and scleroderma, myositis, Sjogren syndrome, osteoarthritis, as well as tendonitis and bursitis.
