Lauren N. Thompson, MD

Dr. Thompson grew up in Northeast Texas. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Louisiana Tech University and then went on to obtain her medical degree from LSU Health in Shreveport, Louisiana. Thereafter she completed a family medicine residency at Memorial Family Medicine in Houston, Texas. She moved to Colorado with her husband and Australian Shepherd in search of better weather and a more active lifestyle.Dr. Thompson's goal is to always treat her patients like she would want her own family to be treated. She enjoys educating her patients on screening recommendations, treatment options, medication side effects, or whatever else they want to know about. She believes that building relationships with her patients is the most rewarding thing about being a physician.She is particularly interested in preventive medicine, women's health and the care of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure.Outside of work Dr. Thompson loves to spend time with her family, hike and travel.
