Justin H. Walpole, MD

Dr. Walpole joined the SCL Health Heart & Vascular Institute at St. Mary’s Medical Center in 2019. He is a vascular surgeon with extensive training in endovascular and open surgeries. Dr. Walpole is trained in all endovascular and open surgeries, wound care, venous insufficiency management, surveillance of carotid disease and aneurysms.Dr. Walpole was raised in northeast Colorado and is happy to be back home in the Rocky Mountain State. He received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and was a rocket scientist prior to going into medicine.He obtained his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his residency in vascular surgery at the University of Iowa. He is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.Dr. Walpole specializes in surgical management of arterial occlusive disease, carotid and lower extremity arterial disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm.He and his wife have three children. When not at work, he enjoys hiking, camping and exploring the beauty of Colorado with his family.
