This passage is so true that I placed it on the memorial cards I sent to friends and family when Raisin, my Chocolate Labrador, passed away. To this day, I feel the depth of loneliness without her.

It is for this reason that I was called to be a home hospice veterinarian. To be called upon in a family’s time of need and share the passing of a beloved pet is a sacred experience and one that I am honored to be part of.
