Jiyeon Jeong, MD

Dr. Jiyeon "Monica" Jeong is a primary care physician who practices in Westwood and Santa Monica. As part of the Extensivist Program, she helps patients with complex medical conditions better manage their care and minimize unnecessary hospitalizations. She is passionate about preventive care and has a special interest in helping patients make lifestyle modifications such as weight loss and exercise to improve their health. She is also dedicated to patient education and advocates for shared decision-making. She is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Jeong received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Stanford University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, an academic honor society. She received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. She then completed her internal medicine residency at UCLA and was selected to be a chief resident for a year after residency.
Dr. Jeong was born and raised in Louisiana. When she’s not working, she enjoys running a book club alongside her husband, long distance running, strength training, and playing with her two tabby cats.
