On Father's Day of 2008, Joe decided to go for a bike ride along the trails of Lake Grapevine. At one point, Joe's mountain bike slid on some off the trail. He was thrown head first over the handlebars, damaging his spinal cord at the C-4 vertebrae.
Knowing that his life had changed, Joe vowed to remain positive. Now, he helps others in the trades with life-altering disabilities do the same.
His foundation provides grants to help people set off the costs of disability.
