Aldona Staar-Kumosa, MD - Internal Medicine

Aldona Staar-Kumosa, MD, PC, is a board-certified internal medicine doctor who offers compassionate, patient-centered primary care to adults. She is experienced in treating a wide spectrum of diseases and conditions from cardiovascular disease to colds and flu. As a primary care physician, Dr. Staar-Kumosa also offers annual wellness exams, immunizations, and education to support optimal wellness. She enjoys providing primary care because it affords her the opportunity to get to know her patients well so she can effectively partner with them in their care. She believes in preventive medicine and has a special interest in helping her patients develop healthy weight-loss programs.
Dr. Staar-Kumosa received her medical degree from Wroclaw Medical Academy in Wroclaw, Poland in 1981. From 1991 to 1994, she served as a senior research associate at Oregon Health Sciences University in the Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Department in Portland, Oregon. She has published on the topic of electrical tinnitus suppression in hearing and hearing impaired subjects (tinnitus is the perception of noise or ringing in the ears).
When Dr. Staar-Kumosa is not treating patients, she enjoys skiing, ice skating, swimming, contemporary and classical music and knitting and crafts. She is fluent in English, Polish and Basic Russian.
